Welcome to our web site. We hope that this site will serve several open source communities with screencast tutorials. Our first screencast tutorial series has been in the works for several months now and we are proud to announce the release of both this web site and our first screencast tutorial collection, ProjectPier.

Like many open source projects, ProjectPier is lacking in the area of documentation. If you step back and look at the most popular pages on the projectpier.org web site, the pages containing the "screenshots" are by far the most popular, followed by the "tour". This tells me two things: (1) people are looking for information about what ProjectPier does, (2) people are visual learners - they would rather judge whether a product is suitable for their needs by seeing it than by reading about it.

Based on this need, Andrexa has decided to publish our first screencast learning series on how to use ProjectPier. We will follow this with additional tutorials on similar project management software, including Collabtive, Feng Office (formerly known as OpenGoo), and Open Atrium. All of these tools are open source and they all focus on organizing your team around a common goal, be that a business working on multiple projects or a civic organization working to accomplish a common goal. Each tool is centered around organizing your team and each has a specific set of features that may or may not be appropriate for your needs. Our learning series can help you decide whether these tools are right for your organization and once you decide to use one of these tools, we can help your employees and your clients get up to speed quickly.
